# Claude Code and other CLIs

Use supported command-line tools with a vendor account or with models available through ZeroLog.

- Claude Code
- Codex

Available tools are Claude Code and Codex. Their sign-in and usage follow the mode you choose.

## Native accounts and catalogue tools

Choose the connection mode first. Native Claude Code and Codex use vendor accounts; ZeroLog Code uses catalogue models.

*Setup, billing and limits for each mode.*

| | Your own vendor account | Models on this service |
| --- | --- | --- |
| How you set it | Use the native Claude Code /login or Codex device sign-in in a private workspace. | Use ZeroLog chat or ZeroLog Code and select a model from the catalogue. |
| Who bills you | The vendor, under your subscription. | Your ZeroLog credit, per request. |
| Which limits apply | That vendor's plan limits, unchanged. This service does not raise them, extend them, or send a request past them. | Your ZeroLog balance and account limits. |
| If a request fails | The vendor's limits apply. If a request is refused, follow the vendor's message. | If a request fails, choose another available model and try again. |

Choose the account you want to use

Your vendor subscription and ZeroLog usage have separate billing and limits. A ZeroLog account limit does not change the limits set by your vendor.

Models on this service

## Use a ZeroLog model

Choose a model from the catalogue. Requests count toward your ZeroLog usage and account limits.

## Where usage appears

*Your own vendor account*

Your vendor tracks this usage under its account and subscription.

*Models on this service*

ZeroLog shows this usage with your other account activity. Your account limits apply.

The [/goal](https://zerolog.ch/docs/goal) continuation command belongs to ZeroLog chat; it is not automatically a native Claude Code or Codex command. See [native sign-in](https://zerolog.ch/docs/byoagent) and [tool handover](https://zerolog.ch/bring-your-own-ai-subscription). A native login alone does not establish access to every vendor model.
