# Android 1.21.6: the chat view is back 2026-10-13 · Product > On some phones the Android app showed an empty dark area instead of the chat. Version 1.21.6 fixes the cause. Since version 1.21.0, some phones showed only a dark area below the top bar after the app started. The sign-in worked and the page loaded, but nothing was visible except the welcome tour. The measurements from version 1.21.5 showed why. The page frame takes its height from the screen height, and on these phones the built-in browser reported that height as zero. Everything inside the frame was laid out with no height at all. Version 1.21.6 sets the frame height from the actual window size and updates it whenever the window changes, for example when the keyboard opens or you turn the phone.
