# Android 2.0: the app no longer shows a web page

2026-10-13 · Product

> Version 2.0.0-a1 draws chat, Compute, jobs and your files itself instead of loading zerolog.ch in a built-in browser.

Up to 1.21, the chat tab of the Android app was the zerolog.ch website inside a built-in browser. That is where the empty chat view of the last few versions came from: the web page measured its own height wrong on some phones.

Version 2.0.0-a1 drops that browser. The chat and the chat list, Compute, jobs and a file browser for your container are now screens of the app. They talk to the same zerolog.ch interfaces as the website, so you see the same chats and the same containers.

In the file browser you pick a container, open its folders, read text files right in the app and download any file to the phone. Settings now show one row per option with a short description, the same layout as on the website. You sign in once, through the ZeroLog sign-in page in Chrome, and the app keeps the session key in Android's encrypted storage instead of its plain settings. Claude Code and Codex still run in Termux; Antigravity is no longer offered.

The "a1" stands for the first public build of the new app. If something you used is missing or does not work, write to [info@zerolog.ch](mailto:info@zerolog.ch?subject=ZeroLog%20Android%202.0.0-a1). Version 1.21.7 stays on the [app page](https://zerolog.ch/zerolog-code-app/) as a fallback.

Download 2.0.0-a1 on the [app page](https://zerolog.ch/zerolog-code-app/) and install it over your current version.
