# Terms of Service 1.3: one inference provider

2026-09-27 · Legal

> This notice also explains what happens when a workspace stops during Auto-Sync or a security scan.

Terms move from 1.2 to 1.3 and the Privacy Policy from 1.6 to 1.7. Read both on the [legal page](https://zerolog.ch/legal).

## What changes in the Terms

Customer AI chat now uses only Featherless (USA), and requests fail when it is unavailable. Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI signed into your own vendor account runs under your contract and at your cost.

No provider, model or model count is promised. Before prompts go to a new provider, the Privacy Policy must name it, its country and the transfer basis. Paid credit stays usable on the models that remain.

## When it applies

For existing accounts, 1.3 takes effect on 11 October 2026. Until then, the accepted version applies. New accounts accepting 1.3 at sign-up are bound immediately. If you do not accept it, stop using the service and request deletion before 11 October. Unused prepaid credit is refunded under §12.3.

## Privacy and error screen

Section 5 names Featherless as prompt recipient, gives the transfer basis and what remains unknown, and adds Microsoft 365 for optional account email. Providers that no longer receive customer content are listed as the operator’s own use.

Email is optional and not a second factor. Confirm it to receive password reset links and unfamiliar sign-in alerts. Microsoft Graph delivers them and processes your address and message content.

Auto-Sync keeps ZeroLog Code available if a workspace closes input during a transfer. Incomplete files may need another sync. See the [ZeroLog Code guide](https://zerolog.ch/docs/zerocode).

If a workspace stops mid-scan, ZeroLog reports the error and stays available. Restart it and scan again. See the [security scan guide](https://zerolog.ch/docs/pentest).

Some non-streaming coding-agent calls charged the service margin twice; this is fixed. See the [credit guide](https://zerolog.ch/docs/credit).

The [context stitching guide](https://zerolog.ch/docs/stitch) no longer lists Gmail, Drive or Calendar. Only your own chats are indexed.

Legal pages again ask search engines not to index them, keeping the operator’s postal address out of search results.
