Set aside for now
Android app
The package builds and signs, and Settings, Devices already lists the devices signed in to your account. One button is missing, and without it nobody can finish the pairing.
Where it stops
Settings, Devices
- Lists the devices signed in to your account
- Revokes any one of them
The button that hands the phone a pairing code.
How it is meant to work
-
01
Install the app.
-
02
Get a pairing code from Settings, Devices.
This is the button above
-
03
Scan it with the phone.
-
04
You are signed in.
What the code does
The phone never learns your password. It takes a code, and trades it for a device token.
From Settings, Devices
A pairing code
Single use, and short-lived.
On the phone
A device token
What the code is exchanged for, once.
Not on the phoneYour password. It is never typed there.
Losing the phone
Revoke that single device. Every other session stays signed in.
That part works today
