Network drives
Available
Open workspace files from your computer with WebDAV or SMB.
Diagram as text
- Open the Storage tab of your workspace.
- Set the file access password. It is shown once, and a new one replaces the old one at once.
- WebDAV runs over HTTPS on the same address as the site, so it works from anywhere. SMB needs a share switched on and works only inside the management network.
- On a computer, use the command or address the panel shows: net use in PowerShell on Windows, the address in the file manager on macOS and GNOME, davfs2 on Linux.
- On Android, the ZeroLog app paired by QR code shows the workspace in the Files app. On iPhone and iPad, use an app that speaks WebDAV.
- You get the workspace files with read and write access. Machine disks are not available as network drives.
From anywhere
Use WebDAV
Open the Storage tab of a workspace. It shows the address and setup command for your computer. WebDAV works over HTTPS on the same address as the site, with no extra port and no VPN, so you can use it away from the ZeroLog management network.
1 · Address
Copy it from the panel
Use the address shown for your workspace.
2 · Sign in
Use your file access details
The panel shows your username. The password is the one you set there, and it serves both WebDAV and SMB.
3 · Connect
Follow your system's command
Windows (
net usein PowerShell), macOS and GNOME (the address) and Linux (davfs2) are shown in the panel. On Android, pair the ZeroLog app with the QR code. On iPhone and iPad, use an app that supports WebDAV.
For local networks
SMB is limited to the management network
Only admins can see and switch on an SMB share in the Storage tab. SMB only works inside the management network and may not be available for every workspace. For remote access, use WebDAV. On Windows, ZeroLog Connect can also mount your own container as a drive through an HTTPS tunnel.
A new file access password replaces the old one. The password is shown once when you set it.
Scope
