Files

A real file tree of the workspace. Open Compute, then Files, and pick a workspace.

What you can do

  • browse
  • open a file, rendered or as source
  • edit a text file and save it
  • download a single file

A paused workspace shows its last listing from network storage. Restore the workspace to open or download files.

What the AI sees

Edits you make are immediately what the AI sees. If the file changed after you opened it, your save is refused and you reload first.

Browsing and editing workspace filesIn Compute, Files, you pick a workspace. A running workspace shows its live file tree; a paused one shows the last listing from network storage until you restore it. You can open a file, edit a text file and save it, or download a single file. A save is refused if the file changed after you opened it. Because the files are the AI's own filesystem, it sees the change immediately.1. 1. In Compute, Files, pick a workspace.
  2. A running workspace shows its live file tree. A paused workspace shows the last listing from network storage until you restore the workspace.
  3. Open a file to see it rendered or as source. Text files can be edited and saved. The save is refused if the file changed after you opened it.
  4. Download works for one file at a time.
  5. A saved edit is the AI's filesystem: it sees the change with no sync step.
