Android 1.21.2: no more silent black screen
Some phones showed only a black area under the top bar after starting the app. Version 1.21.2 now says what went wrong and offers a reload.
After the last two updates, the Android app could show an empty black area below the top bar instead of your chats, without any message. The app signs the web view in with your device, and one of those steps stopped quietly on some phones.
Version 1.21.2 replaces that silence with a clear message and a reload button. If your sign-in has expired, the message tells you to sign in again under Settings. The app also notices when a page has loaded but nothing on it is visible.
Each of these cases now sends an anonymous error report naming the step where it stopped, so we can fix the cause itself in the next version. The report contains no chat content and no account data.
