Android 1.20.2: a frame shows when the agent is working
While the agent works, a black frame now runs around the whole screen, so a long pause to think no longer looks like the agent has stopped.
A frame while the agent works
When the agent thinks for a long time, the phone just sits there, and until now you could not tell whether it was still busy or already done. From version 1.20.2 a black frame runs around the whole screen for as long as the agent is working, in the app and on top of any other app it operates. A thin white line inside the frame slowly pulses, so it stays visible on dark screens too. If your phone is set to remove animations, the line stays still. The frame goes away the moment the agent finishes or you stop it.
The frame does not catch touches, so your taps and the agent's taps both go straight through. It needs no new permission, because it comes from the same accessibility service the agent already uses to operate other apps.
Two more fixes
A menu button on Wikipedia carries the internal name "main-menu-input", and the agent kept taking it for a search field. Buttons whose internal name sounds like an input now show up as "no input field" instead. When a note opened with several fields at once, the agent could type into the wrong one. It now stops and picks the field from the new screen. We ran the 20 test tasks again on 1.20.2: no failed tap, and the slowest task took 8.9 seconds of tool time. The download still needs a signed-in account.
