Android 1.21.4: the app notices an empty chat view
Some phones still show a dark, empty area instead of the chat. Version 1.21.4 now detects that case and shows a reload button.
On some phones the Android app still opens to a dark, empty area below the top bar. The sign-in works, but nothing appears. Until now the app missed this case: its check ran on the start address, and the chat moves to a different address right after loading, so the check never ran.
Version 1.21.4 checks the page 15 seconds after it first loads, wherever it ended up. If no text is visible on the screen, the app says so and offers a reload button.
It also sends an anonymous error report that names the reason, for example that the view has no size or that text exists but is outside the visible area. The report contains no chat content and no account data. This tells us where to fix the cause itself.
