Use your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription

In ZeroLog, Claude Code signs in with your own Claude account and Codex with your own ChatGPT account. Both CLIs run in your Linux container in Switzerland. The vendor bills the usage on your plan, and nothing is charged to your ZeroLog credit. The ZeroLog chat itself does not use these subscriptions: it runs on open-weight models.

What works with which subscription

  • Claude subscription: Claude Code

Claude Code signs in with your own Claude account. Anthropic bills the usage on your plan, and that plan's limits apply unchanged.

  • ChatGPT account: Codex

Codex signs in with your own account, the same way OpenAI's CLI does on a laptop. OpenAI decides how much Codex use your plan includes.

  • Pay as you go: your API key

If you prefer, store a provider API key under Settings, Provider keys. The charge lands with that provider, and ZeroLog adds no margin.

  • The ZeroLog chat

The chat in the browser runs on open-weight models from the ZeroLog catalogue, paid from credit or your own provider key. Claude and GPT models do not appear in its picker.

Why run it here instead of on your laptop

  • The work keeps going

The container is on a server. A /goal run continues when you close the tab, within your plan's time limit: 4 hours on Mini, 8 on Pro, 12 on Max, none on Ultra.

  • Files stay in Switzerland

Your repository, build tools and caches stay on the container disk in Seon (Aargau) between sessions.

  • Both CLIs, one place

Claude Code and Codex share the same container and files. You can switch between them, or between your plan and a catalogue model, without moving the project.

What ZeroLog does not do

ZeroLog does not resell or share your subscription. It does not raise your vendor's limits, and it does not send a request that hit one somewhere else. The automatic fallback and the spend limits only cover models on ZeroLog's own provider keys. Prompts you send through your own account go to Anthropic or OpenAI under your contract, so their terms apply. Read them before you rely on this setup.

ZeroLog is an independent service, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic or OpenAI. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic. OpenAI, ChatGPT and Codex are trademarks of OpenAI.

Sign in your own account

  1. Use a plan with a container.

The CLIs run in your container, so you need Mini or higher.

  2. Open Settings, then AI accounts.

Start the sign-in for Claude Code or Codex.

  3. Open the URL the CLI prints.

Sign in with your own account and paste the code back. It is the CLI's own sign-in; nothing is intercepted or replayed.

  4. Start the CLI in the container terminal.
    cd ~/project && claude

Questions

  • Can I use my Claude subscription in ZeroLog?

Yes, through Claude Code in your container. You sign in with your own Claude account, and Anthropic bills the usage on your plan. Which usage your plan covers is set by Anthropic.

  • Can I use my ChatGPT subscription outside ChatGPT?

In ZeroLog, through Codex: it signs in with your own account. Whether your plan includes Codex, and how much, is set by OpenAI. The ZeroLog chat itself does not use your ChatGPT plan.

  • Do I pay ZeroLog for that usage?

No. The vendor bills you, and nothing reaches your ZeroLog credit. You pay ZeroLog for the plan that includes the container.

  • Where is my sign-in stored?

In a volume that belongs to your account alone, on the server in Switzerland.

  • Which plan do I need?

Mini or higher, because the CLIs run in your container. Current prices are on the pricing page.
