ZeroLog
Frequently asked questions about ZeroLog
Plain answers on what ZeroLog is, where your data lives, which agents and models run, what the plans cost and what the preview cannot do yet. Each answer points to the documentation behind it.
The product
What is ZeroLog?
ZeroLog is a platform for AI agents with persistent Linux workspaces in the cloud. You chat with a model, attach a container (a real Linux machine with root access) and let agents build and run your software there. It is hosted in Seon (Aargau), Switzerland, and currently in a closed preview.
Is ZeroLog related to the zerolog logging library for Go?
No. The name is a coincidence. ZeroLog at zerolog.ch is a hosted platform for AI agents. The zerolog library for Go is an unrelated logging library.
How do chat, container, plan and credit fit together?
A chat is the conversation and uses one model at a time. A container is a real Linux machine that exists independently of any chat, and its files persist. The plan sets the hardware and tools you may use, and paid plans add a monthly credit allowance. Credit is prepaid money for model usage; it never buys hardware. See How it fits together.
Which agents and tools run in a container?
Claude Code and Codex run in your container, either signed in with your own vendor account or on models from ZeroLog. ZeroLog Code is a terminal client based on OpenCode. With /goal you name the finish line and a separate check on the server decides whether it is met, and /ultracode lets the model split a large task across several agents. By default every command the AI wants to run waits for your approval.
Which models can I use?
Models for customers come from one inference provider, Featherless in the USA. The picker lists each model with its price per million tokens and its context length, and you can switch models in the middle of a chat. A model can be unavailable at times because of provider capacity. See Choosing a model.
Is there an app, a terminal client or a browser extension?
Yes, all three. ZeroLog Code is the terminal client. ZeroLog Mobile is a native Android app. The browser extension adds a side panel to Chrome and Firefox. The app and the extension are installed by hand from a file for now.
Data and privacy
Where is my data stored?
Chats, files and workspace disks are stored on servers in Switzerland. To generate a reply, your prompts and attached files are sent to the model provider, Featherless in the USA. Further recipients, such as Stripe for payments and Cloudflare for reaching the site, are listed on the trust page and in the privacy policy.
Does the model provider keep my prompts or train on them?
Featherless confirmed in writing on 28 September 2026 that it does not store the content of prompts or answers, keeps only metadata for abuse monitoring and error handling, and does not train on your content. That is the provider's commitment; ZeroLog cannot inspect its systems. Each answer shows whether zero data retention was enforced, stated by the provider, or not guaranteed.
How are workspaces isolated?
Each workspace is its own container and is not shared with any other user. Where available it runs on gVisor, a userspace kernel, and workspaces cannot reach each other over the network. For untrusted code you can choose the VM class, which gives the workspace its own small virtual machine with its own kernel. Outbound traffic passes through filters. See Isolation and Outbound network.
Can I export or delete my data?
You can download any file or a whole folder of a container as an archive, and each workspace exports as a Dockerfile and a Compose file. A paused container keeps its disk until you delete it. Deleting your account removes the data linked to it. Backups follow their own retention, and some older audit-log entries keep an account reference. The privacy policy describes this in detail.
How do I sign in?
With a username and password. An email address is optional, but without one you cannot reset your password by email. Sign-in runs through ZeroLog's own Keycloak service on servers in Switzerland, and you can add an authenticator app, a passkey or email codes as further factors. See Two-factor authentication and passkeys.
Plans and credit
What plans are there and what do they cost?
There are five plans, billed in Swiss francs: Free (CHF 0), Mini (CHF 9 a month), Pro (CHF 15), Max (CHF 24) and Ultra (CHF 79). Paying yearly costs ten months instead of twelve. Mini to Ultra include a Linux container. Model credit each month: Mini CHF 2, Pro CHF 4, Max CHF 8, Ultra CHF 30. Current prices and limits are always on the pricing page.
What does the Free plan include?
Yes, as an account without a container. Free gives you chat, 1 GB of file storage and the secrets vault. You pay for models with your own AI access or with credit you buy. Containers and the tools that run in them start with Mini.
Which plan do I need for agent runs, Deep Research or virtual machines?
A /goal run can last up to 4 hours on Mini, 8 hours on Pro and 12 hours on Max; on Ultra it has no limit. The limit applies to each run, not to the month. Deep Research starts with Pro. Guest virtual machines (Kata class) are Ultra only, and Ultra allows up to three containers that share one total. See Plans.
What happens when my credit runs out?
Paid models stop, and nothing is charged afterwards. On any plan you can add a credit pack: S adds CHF 5.50 for CHF 5.90, M adds CHF 15.00 for CHF 15.90 and L adds CHF 50.00 for CHF 51.50. Models cost the provider's rate plus 2 %, and the price you see already includes it. Included monthly credit is spent first and expires three months after it was added. See Credit and top-ups.
Can I use my own AI subscription or API key?
Yes. With a container (Mini and up) you can sign in a command-line tool such as Claude Code or Codex with your own vendor account, for example a Claude or ChatGPT subscription. The vendor bills you, nothing reaches your ZeroLog credit, and the vendor's own limits apply. You can also add your own provider API key; that usage goes to your account there and ZeroLog adds no margin. See Your own vendor subscription and Your own API key.
What is the compute boost?
On Pro, Max and Ultra you can add a boost: 2 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and 25 GB SSD for CHF 12 a month, up to two boosts per account. Mini has no boost.
Access and preview
Can I sign up today?
ZeroLog is in a closed preview, and new accounts need an invitation. Request access on the waitlist and confirm your email address through the link you receive. Plans and prices are published, but accounts are created on request.
What can the preview not do yet?
Sharing a container with another person is not available yet. The Android app is a pre-release build, and the Chrome Web Store listing of the extension is still in review. Outbound mail delivery and a few other service ports are closed in every workspace. A model can be unavailable at times because of provider capacity.
Who runs ZeroLog and how do I reach support?
ZeroLog is run by a sole proprietor in Switzerland; the imprint has the details. Write to info@zerolog.ch for support, access requests and security reports. Vulnerability reports follow security.txt (RFC 9116), and changes to the service are announced in the Newsroom.
